The Atelier-Station is made up of elements relating to the theme of mechanics and gearing. Gears are used in all branches of mechanical engineering to transmit motion. For example, the two gears on the table serve to transmit rotary motion by using obstacle power. There are also plenty of textures throughout the module, as well as various moving tactile elements. These elements allow children to create a world centered on mechanics, giving free rein to their imagination and developing cognitive stimulation, fine motor skills, object permanence, the notion of cause and effect, as well as social and emotional perception.
