Parc Bourget

In collaboration with Stantec

In the heart of Vaudreuil-Dorion’s Bourget Park, the city wanted to offer a new playground that was distinctive, inclusive and progressive. In collaboration with the architectural firm Stantec, Atmosphäre contributed to the design of a play space that stands out from existing facilities in the area thanks to its contemporary design and the richness of its sensory experiences.

A project designed to invite all children to move, explore, think and create together.

Explore, climb and imagine

This area combines movement, balance and imagination around an accessible Play Tower and a Multispinner Carousel.

Children develop their coordination, confidence and sense of balance as they climb, slide and twirl together.

The slide and house invite symbolic play, while the spinning top becomes a lively meeting place where children learn to cooperate and experience the effects of movement.

Each element encourages active discovery and shared enjoyment in a safe, stimulating environment.

Challenges, speed and cooperation

Designed for action, the playground for 5-12 year-olds offers dynamic activities that encourage courage and collaboration.

The Cliff Rider with slide is an instant magnet for adventurers: you climb it, you soar on it, you slide on it, again and again.

This sequence of movements develops muscular strength, risk perception and the pleasure of shared success.

The set is completed by a mixed swing featuring standard seats, baby seats and an accessible ADA seat, so that every child can find his or her place.

A sensory zone in its own right

Seduced by the richness of sensory play and the popularity of the giant spinning top, the City chose to rethink the layout to offer an inclusive experience on two distinct surfaces.

The Sensory Station has been installed on a solid surface, facilitating access for all, while the more active equipment is deployed on the shock-absorbing fiber.

This thoughtful choice allows every child, whether in a wheelchair, more cautious or more adventurous, to find a space adapted to his or her play desires.

The dragon-scale membrane, moiré panels and two-tone drawing wall create a tactile and visual experience that stimulates curiosity and communication between children.

Before leaving the site, the children often return to their favorite games, a sign that the development is achieving its objective: to create a lively, engaging and memorable place for the whole community.

A park, a thousand ways to play

By integrating a variety of sensory, motor and social components, Parc Bourget becomes a space where every child, whatever their age or ability, finds something to develop.

This innovative project reflects the inclusive and sustainable vision of the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion and Stantec, with Atmosphäre contributing to the selection and integration of the equipment.
