The idea behind Kompan ‘s Robinia wood play modules is to present a new way of designing the playground. By adopting a unique, holistic approach to creation in tune with nature, we stimulate children’s interest. What’s more, we introduce the importance of nature in their lives.
Native to Europe, Robinia wood is strong, durable, flexible and particularly ideal for use in playgrounds. Because it doesn’t grow straight, it takes on curved shapes, perfect for designing unique wooden play modules. Its granular structure, raw tree trunks and handcrafted appearance emphasize the playground’s natural feel. Robinia wood has a high content of natural preservatives, such as tannic acid, which require no treatment. What’s more, its dense composition makes it highly resistant to splintering, moisture damage and water permeating the wood.
The natural strengths and appearance of Robinia wood make it ideal for play areas where the environment calls for “natural” play equipment. What’s more, this wood is ideally suited to urban spaces. It will create a magical forest right in the heart of the city!
