The result of several years’ collaboration between management and Atmosphäre, the Alouette Day-care Center playground project has everything it takes to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our little ones!
The project presented a number of challenges, including the fact that the larger of the two courtyards is actually an inner courtyard that needed to be converted. Another important issue: the CPE wanted a balance between a synthetic and a natural yard.
The Atmosphäre team answered the call with the creation of a unique nursery area in the large courtyard, as well as a large, well-shaded space that encourages free play.
The use of Matchwinner Velour synthetic shock-absorbing surface allowed us to integrate a safe bicycle path into the surface of the yard, as well as thematic elements such as small parking spaces, a gas station and a small house.
The other courtyard benefited from the addition of a nursery area and a wood-fiber-covered area containing two play modules. These have been specially chosen to encourage balance and develop upper-body strength.
