Innovative reuse of the Colisée de Québec seats

The Luc-et-Marie-Claude Arena in Baie-Saint-Paul now offers its users an exceptional experience thanks to its carefully selected arena seats.

As part of its eco-responsible approach, the city has chosen to reuse 500 seats from the defunct Colisée de Québec, former home of the Quebec Nordiques.

These Fusion seats by Hussey Seating Company, renowned for their exceptional durability, were recovered and installed to enhance spectator comfort.

Focus on comfort and durability

Arena seats play a crucial role in the spectator experience. In choosing Hussey Seating Company seats, the City of Baie-Saint-Paul opted for quality and durability.

These seats offer exceptional comfort, yet are designed to withstand the daily wear and tear of a large-scale sports center.

An inspiring local history

Luc-et-Marie-Claude: a sporting heritage

The arena’s name pays tribute to two of Baie-Saint-Paul’s most emblematic figures.

Local figure skaters Luc Bradet and Marie-Claude Savard-Gagnon have left their mark on local sporting history. Their success at the Canadian championships and their participation in the 1998 Nagano Olympic Games inspired several generations.

In this way, every moment spent in the arena evokes the memory of these exceptional athletes and strengthens the bond between the site and the local community.

An engaging civic initiative

Community fundraising campaign

The city has launched a crowdfunding campaign enabling residents to own their own arena seats.

This innovative approach strengthens the bond between the community and its arena, creating a unique sense of belonging. Participants not only contribute financially, but also take ownership of a piece of local sporting history.

Customized seats, community involvement

By owning their own seats, residents can help personalize their experience at the Luc-et-Marie-Claude Arena. It’s a tangible way of showing their support for the local team and taking an active part in the community’s sporting life.
