X-Wheels Space – Bike Discovery Zone, City of Varennes
The town of Varennes welcomed Quebec’s very first X-Wheels Space – Bike Discovery Zone! The perfect complement to pre-existing modular pumptrack also in the Parc de la Commune, this new space is especially aimed at younger children, aged 3 to 12. On an enchanting site surrounded by lush greenery, mature trees and bordering the river, this is the ideal place for family fun.
Composed of several stimulating elements, the circuit is divided into different zones. An impressive, giant-sized tunnel provides a dose of challenge as children make their way through it, as well as helping them master the different rolling surfaces thanks to its wooden slats. Two straight lines with modular pumptracks allow you to maneuver inclines and changes of balance in complete safety.
The circuit also features a section of oversized cones to help develop driving reflexes and control speed. Finally, the surface is composed of sanded carpet where two mounds have been added to help control turns and add a dose of challenge for the more adventurous.
All in all, an unmissable experience that stimulates the development of spatial perception, the vestibular system and proprioception!
Strategically located, X-Wheels Space – Bike Discovery Zone runs alongside the cycle path, making it easy to access. It’s the perfect place to capture the interest of young people! Whether on a bike, scooter or balance bike, training with multiple turns, different surfaces, gradual inclines and speed changes will also ensure the development of essential road safety skills when our youngest are on wheels!
