We laid the foundations for a relationship of trust with Les Copains Day-care back in 2007. Today, we’re still working closely with CPE Les Copains Day-care Center on the 3rd phase of development work. This hybrid courtyard, combining nature and synthetics, promotes a new philosophy that looks at children from the global perspective of their intellectual, linguistic, emotional, social and physical development.
For the first phase, we installed a sand-carpeted recreational surface, including a pretty red and yellow bike path for the kids. At the same time, a synthetic turf surface was installed. On the advice of our experts, the piping for a water feature was also included in the first phase, in case Les Copains Day-care wanted to add it at a later date.
For their second phase of development, Les Copains Day-care chose a Kompan play structure from the StoryMakers range, as well as several other modules such as a triple rocker Blazerand a Spica. Also, as our experts had foreseen, a geyser-type water feature integrated into the sand carpet was added in 2010 during phase 2 of the work.
As the various play elements have stood the test of time extremely well, they were retained during the development of phase 3 of the project. The day-care center, having been very satisfied with our past collaborations, called on Atmosphäre again in 2019 when it wanted to bring the HighScope philosophy to the fore in its fit-out.
Because the yard space is so generous, many new features could be added. The teepee surrounded by a planting area passing through the synthetic turf is definitely one of the highlights of this renewed space. What’s more, the textured sidewalk will intrigue young children by providing a stimulating sensory experience for the feet! It’s afirst! The textured sidewalk was designed thanks to collaboration between the Day-care center and our team of experts! And that’s not all:a Kompan Robinia sand and water table, a river stone digging area, a cantilevered parasol in the children’s area and a nature zone have also been integrated into the spectacular layout of the Les Copains Day-care center’s playground.
Very satisfied with the result and in good hands, the day-care center’s management decided to install their second HighScope installation with the help of the team!
